Introduction

Department of Microbiology, SMVDIME is a multidisciplinary unit consisting of Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology, Parasitology and Serology. The laboratory facilities include state of the art equipments such as automated blood culture systems, identification and antimicrobial susceptibility along with conventional microbiological tools for diagnostic services. Teaching is an integral part of the departmental academic activity.
