Shri S.S. Baloria, Retired Chief Secretary and the former Hon’ble Member of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), undertook a comprehensive visit to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME), Kakryal, on July 18, 2025. Deeply impressed by the infrastructure and quality standards maintained at the institution, Shri Baloria commended the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and Chairman SMVDSB, Shri Manoj Sinha, for conceptualizing such a premier healthcare and academic centre in the region.

He also praised the unwavering commitment and administrative excellence of Executive Director Dr. Yashpal Sharma in translating this vision into a fully functional and future-ready medical institution.

During the visit, Shri Baloria toured key academic and training facilities including the Clinical Skills and Simulation Lab, equipped with high-fidelity manikins and advanced procedural simulators that provide hands-on training to medical students in real-life emergency scenarios. He also visited the Computer-Assisted Learning (CAL) Lab, where technology-integrated teaching tools are enhancing conceptual learning and diagnostics skills. The visit also covered the state-of-the-art laboratories in preclinical and para-clinical departments, which are equipped with modern instrumentation to foster research-oriented education.

Shri Baloria expressed satisfaction with the academic environment and applauded the Shrine Board’s continued commitment to nurturing a generation of competent, compassionate, and skilled healthcare professionals.
