AIDS Awareness

A CME programme on “AIDS awareness” was organised at Academic Block of SMVDIME, Kakryal today. The event included lectures from faculty experts Dr. Richa Mahajan, Associate Professor, Department of Community Medicine and Dr. Kanishtha Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology, SMVDIME Kakryal. A detailed, informative, practical & engaging deliberation about combating with the social taboo of HIV-AIDS en-masse, various modern testing & treating modalities aiming at achieving significant reduction in HIV viral load among patients, & preventive strategies to check the spread of deadly virus was shared among all. The event was graced by the presence of dignitaries Dr. Rakesh Kumar Ranyal, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Sabita Yograj, Dean SMVDIME in presence of all the faculty members, doctors, residents & nursing students from SMVDIME & Associated Hospital as well as SMVDCoN. The event was concluded by vote of thanks by Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson, Academics Committee, SMVDIME.

Pharmacovigilance week

Department of Pharmacology, SMVDIME Kakryal celebrates their first academic event on account of celebration of 4th National Pharmacovigilance week on 24th September, 2024 aimed at raising community level awareness-cum-sensitization on building ADR reporting culture for patient safety. The event was coordinated by Academic Committee, SMVDIME Kakryal in unison with SMVDNSH (Associated Hospital). It was attended by Hon’ble Executive Director, SMVDIME, Prof. Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Medical Suprintendent, Facility Director, all the faculty of SMVDIME and medical staff of SMVDNSH.

CME Effective Leadership of Healthcare Professionals

An informative CME programme on the topics “Effective Leadership of Healthcare Professionals” & “Motivation: A Challenge for Healthcare Leaders” was organised at Academic Block of SMVDIME, Kakryal today. The event included lectures from esteemed faculty experts Prof. (Dr.) Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director (SMVDIME & Assoc. Hospital) and Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Ranyal, Medical Superintendent (SMVDIME & Assoc. Hospital). An insightful & engaging deliberation about various types & aspects of leadership in healthcare sector fostering a positive goal-oriented work culture based on compassion, empathy, quality & safety was shared among all. The event was attended by all the faculty members, doctors, residents & nursing students from SMVDIME & Associated Hospital as well as SMVDCoN including Dr. Sabita Yograj, Dean SMVDIME, &, Dr. Shailla Cannie, Principal, SMVDCoN. The overall event was hosted by Prof. (Dr.) Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson, Academics Committee, SMVDIME.

CME National newborn week

A CME programme on awareness about the importance of newborn care in view of National newborn week ( 15th November to 21st November)was organised at Makeshift Academic block of SMVDIME, Kakryal today. The event included lectures from faculty experts Dr Nikhil Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of paediatrics and Dr Shruti Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of obstetrics and gynaecology, SMVDIME Kakryal. A detailed and engaging deliberation about the importance of newborn care and the health challenges that infants face in their early days of life was shared among all. CME Cancer Awareness

"A CME programme on Cancer Awareness was organised at SMVDIME, Kakryal today. The event included lectures from faculty experts Dr. Sonakshi Jamwal, Assistant Professor, Department of General Surgery and Dr. Rajpal Singh, Assistant Professor Department of Radiation Oncology, SMVDIME Kakryal. Cancer awareness highlighting the importance of enhancing knowledge about prevention, early detection, management, survivorship & supportive care of those afflicted with malignancies was deliberated. The event was graced by the presence of dignitaries Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director SMVDIME, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Ranyal, Medical Superintendent, Dr. MM Mathavan, Facility Director, &, Dr. Sabita Yograj, Dean SMVDIME in presence of all the faculty members, doctors & residents from SMVDIME & SMVDNSH . World Polio day

World Polio day was celebrated at CHC Katra , organised by SMVDIME kakyral today. The theme of this year’s Polio day is ‘Let’s #End Polio’ . The event included lectures from faculty Dr. Kanishtha Sharma , Associate Professor Department of Microbiology and Dr. Nikhil Gupta , Assistant Professor, Department of Paediatrics SMVDIME, kakryal. Awareness programme regarding the importance of polio prevention, early detection and strategies for eradication & emphasis on polio vaccination was created among the doctors and healthcare workers. The event was graced by the presence of Dr Rashpal Bangotra, BMO CHC katra . The event was concluded by discussion with the audience & vote of thanks .

World Obesity day

World Obesity day was celebrated at SMVDIME kakyral today. Obesity Day tries to raise awareness about this medical condition. The theme for this year's campaign is "Let's Talk About Obesity And..." this theme emphasizes to encourage people to start conversations that address obesity from a cross-cutting perspective. The idea is to look at health, youth, and the world as a whole in order to find ways to combat obesity together. The event included lecture from Dr. Roopali Sharma, senior dietitian, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics SMVDNSH , Kakryal. The event was graced by the presence of dignitaries Dr. Yashpal Sharma, executive director SMVDIME, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Runyal, Medical superintendent, Mr. MM Mathavan, facility director.

World Contraception Day

An awareness campaign bearing theme “A choice for all, freedom to plan, power to choose” on the occasion of World Contraception Day was delievered at PHC Mihari by Department of Community Medicine, SMVDIME Kakryal on 26 th September, 2024.
