A CME programme on the topic “Screening & Treatment of Cervical Cancer” was organised at Academic Block of SMVDIME, Kakryal on 23.01.25. The event included expert lectures from Dr. Geetu Mahajan, Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Dr. Pratibha, Senior Resident, Department of Radiation Oncology, SMVDIME Kakryal. A detailed, informative, practical & engaging deliberation about current advancements in detecting/diagnosing, preventing & curing of cervical cancer was shared among all. The audience was apprised about the early preventive role of HPV vaccine along with available highly specific & sensitive screening tools like Pap smear & HPV DNA testing against cervical malignancies. The event was attended by the dignitaries including Executive Director, Medical Superintendent, Dean (Academics / Research & Examinations), all the faculty members, doctors, residents & nursing students from SMVDIME & Associated Hospital as well as SMVDCoN
